This project has turned into a film trilogy
    about the Japanese Canadian legacy.
“Stolen Memories” is the first part of the trilogy.

    BREAKING THE SILENCE

    In Development with Jordan-Bastow Productions

Breaking the Silence is a feature-length documentary about Akihide John Otsuji, a Japanese-Canadian man who was unjustly imprisoned after the Japanese internment due to a racist law called the Dispersal Campaign. The Canadian government labeled him a criminal. His sister Mary Seki considers him a hero because he single-handedly and courageously defied an unjust racist law. The film is about his sister Mary Seki's quest to clear her brother's name and redress the wrongs of the past.

    WAITING FOR LOVE

The third part of the trilogy is called “Waiting For Love”.  Sadly, Mary Seki passed away in 2009. We filmed her funeral and are putting together a short film tribute to her. "Waiting For Love" is about Mary Seki's secret love story of unrequited love.  I am hoping to release all three films as a triple bill theatrically across North America.
